2020 Board message #2

Dear Gators,

We hope this email finds you safe and healthy. Apologies if you are receiving this email for a 2nd time - we don't have a way to send to 2 mailing lists at once - if you already received, you can disregard this email.

We wanted to provide an update regarding the pool opening. Unfortunately, so far, not much has changed as far as the State's restrictions; and the State of Emergency has been extended to the end of the month, which includes mandatory pool closings. Based on the proposed reopening plans of the State, it is still unclear if or when the pool may open. We are hoping the outlook will improve soon and we can enjoy some safe fun at the pool. We will continue to keep you informed of any changes.

We would like to thank the majority of Gator families who have already signed up for another season. This is extremely encouraging! As a reminder, swim team registration has also begun on our new Swimtopia platform, although the season still has to take shape.

Stay tuned for fun events for all Gators to participate in this summer whether the pool opens or not. One thing we are excited to announce is that we will be continuing our tradition of Food Truck Fridays for take away meals, even if we are not open! Please look for more details to come via our website calendar, FB posts, and email, and make sure to pass along the info to your non-Gator neighbors.

While we may not have our traditional opening on Memorial Day weekend, we can still be in a Gator State of Mind. To that end, we have a fun ask of all Gator families: please pick a fellow member neighbor or friend and chalk their driveway and sidewalk in the week leading up to Memorial Day weekend! While typically our swim team buddies do this for each other during swim season, we want ALL Gator families to join in the fun May 17th-23rd. We are working on an additional way to commemorate this unofficial start to summer, so watch more details in the next week or so.

We thank you all for being members of our community and for the feedback we have received so far about this Summer. We are all in this together - stay safe and sane! And remember to spread the Gator Spirit!

Be well,

NSC Board
