Nottingham Board of Directors
A Volunteer Board, elected by the membership to three-year terms.

Sustain, enhance and grow our inclusive family friendly swim club.

The mission of the Nottingham Swim Club Board is to provide a welcoming, member-owned pool facility managed in a fiscally-responsible manner with a focus on providing a community atmosphere. We carry out this mission by being compassionate, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of our multi-generational community, working to foster a positive and safe summer experience that encourages member involvement and drives long-term family memberships.

Christine Mangat has lived in Nottingham Green for 10 years with her husband, Stephen; they have two kids, Eric and Lauren. She has her undergraduate and MBA degrees from the University of Delaware and played trumpet in the UD Marching and Pep Bands as an undergraduate.

Christine began her career at UD, managing large alumni events, and after briefly leaving for a fundraising role at Drexel's College of Medicine, she returned to UD in 2018 in the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and Recreation Services. She is currently the Chief of Staff, managing all constituent communications for the Athletic Director, as well as working on the Department’s strategy and partnering with the executive team on high level decisions.

Along with her passion for her family, friends, UD and Nottingham Swim Club, Christine is an avid Crossfitter and enjoys cooking. She is excited to take on the role of President and to serve the Gator community. You can reach Christine at:

Lori Wilson and her husband, along with their 3 children, have been members of NSC since 2009. All of her children have participated on the
Gator swim team and the older 2 have enjoyed coaching and lifeguarding as well.

Lori is a professional multitasker and an expert volunteer: she is an active member on her homeowners association board of directors, and can be found chairing various committees and chaperoning an abundance of field trips for Newark Charter School.

Over the last four years, Lori has contributed her time to streamline swim team concessions and greatly improved our general snack bar organization to benefit our pool. Lori looks forward to her new role as Vice President, as she continues to strive to improve our pool with emphasis on developing an organized, productive, and positive staffing team. She believes all of our members and guests are entitled to an enjoyable, yet safe experience at our pool.

You will generally find Lori working diligently in the Snack Bar if you ever have any questions, comments, or concerns...emails are welcome too:

Greg Ariff grew up in New Jersey, spending his summer weekdays at the neighborhood pool, going to swim practice in the morning and staying to play all day with his friends. When he was old enough, he life guarded and then coached swimming at another nearby swim club. Greg moved to Nottingham Green in 2008 and was happy to discover a neighborhood swim club that could provide the same experience of community and opportunities for fun and competitive swimming to his own children. Greg has been a member of Nottingham Swim Club since 2011 with his wife, Holly, and sons, Robby and Ben. Greg has enjoyed supporting the swim club and team as a volunteer, including serving as a swim meet official for many years. As a board co-chair for the swim team, Greg is committed to continuing the Nottingham tradition of providing our youth with a fun, supportive, and character-building experience through competitive swimming.

Tom Fruehstorfer and his wife Amy moved to Newark in the Oaklands in 1995. At the time, there was a waiting list to join Nottingham Swim Club. After short stints at Fairfield and the UD pools, they got into NSC and have been happy here for about 15 years. Tom & Amy have been involved with the swim team for about 10 years with two of their daughters, Gretchen and Lyla, who have both also been lifeguards at the pool. Tom has been active as a timer and an official. Including his childhood swimming Tom has been involved with swim teams for about 25 years. As a board co-chair for the swim team, Tom is committed to working with Greg to provide a fun, efficient, and organized experience for our swim team and their families.
