PRESIDENT

Larry Abbott and his wife, Melissa, both grew up in Louisiana where they spent a significant portion of their childhood fishing, waterskiing, and swimming in the same local river. They moved to Delaware in 2000 and joined Nottingham Swim Club in 2005 after the birth of their first child. They raised their three children in the Nottingham community for 10 years, then moved to Covered Bridge Farms in 2015. Larry has two passions in life: his family and the outdoors.
Larry is eager to help carry on the tradition of the Nottingham Swim Club. You will often hear him say that there are three simple priorities for the pool. Those are to have fun, be safe and to remain fiscally responsible. He welcomes any feedback from pool membership on how we can successfully achieve these goals.

VICE PRESIDENT

Elise Martin and her family joined Nottingham Swim Club in the summer of 2020 after moving to the west side of Newark. She and her husband, Patrick, have two mini Gators and they all love the community they found at the pool. Elise loves gardening, cooking, reading, and spending time with friends. As a teacher and stay at home mom, Elise knows the value of pitching in and helping out and that’s what she hopes to do as she steps into the VP position. You can reach Elise at nottinghamswimclubvp@gmail.com

SECRETARY
Megan Zarzycki and her family have been members at Nottingham Swim Club since 2012. She and her husband live in Newark with their four children. Megan earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Delaware and has taught in the Appoquinimink School District since 2003. As a librarian, Megan is an active member of her school community. She enjoys spending her summer days at the pool and is most often spotted with a book in her hand. You can reach her at: NottinghamSCSecretary@gmail.com

TREASURER
Mike Baur - My family, wife Jenn, son's Jack and Matt(Finn), have been members of Nottingham since 2007. Previously Jenn held a position on the board, and the entire family loves to give back to the pool. Jack was a lifeguard for 2 years and Matt is looking to be a lifeguard this year. Both boys are part of the Nottingham Swim Team. We've lived in the neighborhood since 2004, and really enjoy our summers at the pool. I've worked in the finance industry since 2007 and look forward to contributing to Nottingham's success, both operationally and financially, in the years to come. I'm always approachable, so if you ever have any questions about the pool when it comes to our finances, never hesitate to ask. You can reach Mike at: NottinghamSwimClubTreasurer@gmail.com

GROUNDS CHAIR
Jeff Bonis and his family have been NSC members since 2012. They love their time at the pool, whether it is on Dog Swim day, Pool Clean Up day, swim meets, potlucks, or just old fashioned swimming. With six children, Jeff and his wife value all the pool has to offer. Jeff is a software engineer at a local biotech company. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time at his kids' sporting events. He also undertakes home improvement projects at his house and the homes of others. As grounds chair, Jeff plans to continue NSC's tradition of being a well maintained swim club. He is open to hearing members' suggestions for improvements so the NSC experience will be excellent for members and their guests. Contact him at:

PHYSICAL PLANT CHAIR
Jack Donovan joined NSC with his family in 2023, but he was also a member of Nottingham from the time he was born through his teenage years. He, his wife Sara, and daughters Kennedy and Madison live in Newark and spend a lot of time at the pool.
Jack is looking forward to using his skills as an electrician along with his general construction experience to contribute to the club. He has worked closely with our previous Physical Plant Chair, Jason, to help ensure a seamless transition, and welcomes any suggestions and assistance to keep this pool operating smoothly.

SWIM TEAM CO-CHAIRS
Cana Hartman grew up a proud Nottingham Gator in the 90s, spending every possible summer day at the pool and firmly believing (then and now) that those six swim‑team weeks are the highlight of the entire year. After a decade of membership with her own husband and two kids, she’s thrilled to be stepping into the Swim Team Co‑Chair role and sharing the magic of Nottingham with her kids, who are now making their own friendships, memories, and questionable snack‑shack choices.
The magic of Nottingham has always been the people: volunteers who show up with heart, kids cheering each other on, Gator Buddy treats, and friendships that somehow form faster in six weeks than they do anywhere else all year, and pick back up just as fast after months apart. She’s excited to help the swim team stay excellent, welcoming, and joy‑filled; not just for her own kids, but for every future Gator who jumps in next!
Nothing Greater than a Gator!

Robyn Webb and her family have called Nottingham Swim Club home for more than a decade. She and her husband, Matt, are raising three proud Gators who consider Nottingham Swim Club as the best part of summer. Robyn grew up swimming and still carries that love of the sport today. When she’s not working as an engineer in the medical device industry or baking something sweet, she’s excited to support the team and help make the swim season fun and memorable for all our families.

SOCIAL CO-CHAIRS
Jill Hall
Jill, her husband and their 3 gators (Alfred, Elise and Ellen) have been Nottingham Swim Club members for the past 5 years. Jill and her family enjoy the NSC community – from clean up day, to swim team to pool Olympics and more, they always find ways to be involved.

Jill is looking forward to creating more poolside memories and good times alongside her co-chair.
Cheree Ferguson
My name is Cheree Ferguson. I live in Newark with my two children, Ryan and Harper. We joined the pool in 2020. The following year my children joined the swim team and I became head of the spirit committee along with Jill Hall. I am currently a Kindergarten teacher at Newark charter school and looking forward to my summers off so I can sit by the pool!

MEMBERSHIP CHAIR
Jennifer Tillett and her family joined NSC in the summer of 2017 after moving to the neighborhood from Delco. Both her kids, Ben and Ellie, enjoy the swim team each summer and Jen loves the community that comes with swim team and the pool in general. Jen is a kindergarten teacher in the Christina School District, but once summer hits, you can find her at the pool almost every day (and maybe catch her husband, Drew, on evenings and weekends)! Jen looks forward to working with families and acting as a comfortable bridge between members and the pool board! You can reach Jen at: membership.nottinghamswimclub@gmail.com
